There is good news for anyone planning to do some DIY or have a clear-out over the Easter weekend.

With Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday all set aside as public holidays, we had a look to see what it would mean for essential waste services in the Coalville area and nearby.

The majority of Leicestershire's tips will also be over the religious holiday and subject to their standard opening hours.

Leicestershire County Council has said the usual opening hours may be subject to change, so people are being urged to check the council's website for the latest information before they set off.

Waste collections are also carrying on as normal over the Easter weekend across the county.
