This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - and hopefully, there is something for everyone.

It is that time of year again and Broomleys Cricket Club will be holding its annual fireworks display on Saturday evening.

If you're local to Coalville and looking for a firework display to enjoy along with fairground rides, food and stalls and a bar, book your tickets now.

The gate opens at 4.30pm and the display is at 7.30pm.

Charnwood Men and Women in Sheds project has been selected as this year's benefitting charity which will receive 10 per cent of all tickets sales.

The Century Theatre in Coalville has two shows on this weekend.

On Saturday, it is The Greatest Showcase - a celebration of the amazing talent of a fantastic group of CT Academy students.

This is an annual event that will offer a vibrant mix of group performances and auditioned pieces – all based on Musical Theatre shows and movies.

Relax and enjoy classic songs from a variety of different shows, including songs from Wicked and Hairspray. Our dedicated staff not only support students off stage, they also support them onstage truly showcasing the talents of The Century Theatre.

Sunday sees The Bubble Show at the Century Theatre.

The Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre is hosting the LarpCon November Kit Fair over two days this weekend.

Featuring Live Role-Play's finest winter market, with a massive selection of traders displaying their wares.

Fantasy and sci-fi fans plus cosplayers, amongst others, will flock to the venue over the weekend, where they can browse, try and buy a brilliant range of art, costumes and more.

The 1620s House in Donington le Heath has two events this weekend.

On Saturday, there is a seasonal event called Fawkes to Forks.

You can enjoy a delicious Supper with Bonfire Night-themed food and a quiz about the Gunpowder Plot - all within the setting of the ancient Barn.

On Sunday, the 1620s House has a Gunpower Plot Day.

This is the entertaining re-telling of the story behind the Gunpowder Plot.

Discover how the family that lived in the 1620s House were connected to it. SPOILER! Their nephew, Sir Everard Digby, was hung, drawn, and quartered for his part in it.

See the story of the Plot unfold through a series of short scenarios through our house and grounds.

Learn about the properties of gunpowder with our re-enactors and see examples of a 17th century cannon and muskets being fired. 

BEWARE the bangs are loud. Ear Defenders are available for those with aural sensitivities.

They are a Leicester-based playing rock covers with a few surprises.
