This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment - hopefully there is something for everyone.

It's a Bank Holiday coming up and a number of venues are making the most of the extended weekend.

On Sunday, the 1620s House in Donington le Heath is staging an outdoor theatre production of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Adapted and directed by Andrew McWilliam, the Chorus Theatre presents a new adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

Featuring songs, music, puppetry and a tea party! This magical show is one for the whole family.

Come along dressed as your favourite character from Wonderland.

The Charles Booth Centre in Thringstone has a night of music on Saturday evening.

The venue welcomes the Gresley Male Voice Choir With guest soprano Steph Addison.

Also on Saturday, the Central Bar in Ibstock has The Party Popperz show.

The night will be based on the high colour, high impact sounds of the 70s, 80s and 90s from artists as diverse as David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Sweet, Prince, Showaddywaddy and all the way through to The Pet Shop Boys.

The Coalville Labour Club has an AC/DC tribute band.

Let There Be DC will be playing live on Saturday night.

The Century Theatre in Coalville has events on Friday and Saturday.

Friday sees live music in the shape of Voodoo Room.

They are a stunning 'Power Trio', paying tribute to both Jimi Hendrix and Cream - and they perform a kicking, world-class show in total appreciation of these two massive pioneers in the world of classic blues/rock.

On Saturday, the Century Theatre hosts a Funhouse Comedy night.

The comics on stage will be Keith Farnan, Fiona Allen and Ian Crawford.
