Over in Ibstock, the Palace Community Centre is hosting its Classic Film Night.
The venue's series of classic films will run on the last Friday of every month - this week it is The King and I.

She threatens to leave when the house she had been promised is not available but falls in love with the children.

She is just about to leave Siam but something important she finds out makes her think about changing her mind. Starring Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr.

Back at The Century Theatre which, on Saturday night, is hosting Amy - A Tribute on stage.
This eight-piece band, with full horn section and backing singers, are all outstanding musicians, with a goal to recreate the sound of Amy Winehouse.
Whether it be from her BBC concerts or staying true to the original recordings.
This band isn't about looking like Amy, they aim to stay true to the sound of the Winehouse/Ronson style, with a full horn section, including baritone sax & flute.
This is set to be an incredible night of live entertainment.

In Ibstock on Saturday night, the Central Bar has The Overtones playing live.
The Overtones are a four piece vocal harmony group that formed in London in 2010, after they were spotted by a scout from a talent agency while singing as they decorated a shop.
This group have rocketed to fame and are available to hire for corporate events and private parties all over the world.
Their 50s and 60s style of music also makes them a great choice for themed events.
After years of grinding out a living while chasing their dreams of becoming successful singers, The Overtones' perseverance was richly rewarded when they landed a recording deal with Warner Music Entertainment in the summer of 2010.
Released that same year, their debut album 'Good Ol' Fashioned Love' was forecast to sell a respectable but hardly ground-breaking 20,000 copies.
Almost two years later, the album has now exceeded 500,000 sales after peaking at number four on the album chart. They played to over 250,000 people at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration and to another large audience at an Olympics show in Hyde Park.

Next Wednesday, Coalville CAN in Memorial Square is hosting another of its guest evenings.
Join Tom from Wonky Candles to learn how he and his brother PJ worked with their disabilities to overcame challenges and naysayers - creating a thriving business selling candles, wax melts and more!
They believe anything is possible. After a 30-minute talk on the history of Wonky Candles, accompanied by a presentation, there will be a chance for a conversation and Q&A.
