The Century Theatre in Coalville is showing the movie, The Great Escaper on Friday.
Come and enjoy a wonderful film, based on the true story of WWII veteran, Bernie Jordan (Michael Caine) and his wife Irene (Glenda Jackson).
Bernie secretly escapes from his care home to attend the 70th Anniversary Commemorations of the D-Day Landings, joining his fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy.

Ibstock Soul Club returns for its monthly gathering at the Central Bar on Friday.
It is Leicestershire's biggest monthly Soul night.
This month, there will be two resident DJs, Richard Reed and Sean Taylor, with special guest DJ Sam Evans playing the best in Northern Soul and Tamla Motown.
All the sounds are on vinyl, using the venue's superb surround sound system.
It is a fully air conditioned room, with a super wooden sprung dance floor and drinks at sensible prices.

The Charles Booth Centre begins its run of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - a Family Pantomime, on Saturday.
There are performances throughout the week.

The Victoria Bikers' pub in Coalville has two gigs on this weekend.
On Friday, the Whitwick Road venue has covers band, Vermillion, playing live.

On Saturday night, renowned tribute band Fred Zeppelin are in town.
Last year marked the band's 30th anniversary and they are followed not only by Led Zep fans, but music stars too.
They are well worth seeing if you are around on Saturday.
