On Friday, the Century Theatre in Coalville has a night dedicated to a country music legend.

Using visual productions and narrations, Songteller: The Dolly Parton Story will take you on a journey through Dolly's career, from her childhood in the smoky mountains to the global icon she is today.

From researching Dolly's life, to writing the voiceover and learning instruments from scratch, this tribute promises to bring Dolly's vibrant history to life in a spectacular show.

Thringstone is hosting Carols Around the Christmas Tree on Friday.

The evening starts with a Lantern Parade at 6.30 before the carols start at 7pm.

Back at the Century Theatre in Coalville and, on Saturday night, the venue stages a tribute to music of the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Bye Bye Baby are a jaw-dropping tribute to the musical phenomenon 'Jersey Boys'.

Incredible four part harmonies, roof raising falsetto complete with energetic and stylish choreography ensures that Bye Bye Baby is a show that will make it a night remember!

The 1620s House in Donington le Heath continues its Christmas events on Saturday - with a festive workshop.

You can find out how to make the perfect hamper filled with Christmas crafts and treats.

Hugglescote Social Club has an evening of festive song on Saturday evening.

There will be a Christmas Concert performance from the Coalville Male Voice Choir.

It is a busy week at the Century Theatre - and on Sunday, the Ashby Road venue has the Desford Colliery Band.

Considered one of the finest exponents of the brass medium, their wide range of styles and flexibility of performance has brought Desford Colliery Band world-wide fame.

Comprising of 25 brass musicians with percussion, they perform a repertoire spanning Baroque to Jazz – with soloists that are some of the finest you will hear.

This ensemble has performed all over the world, recorded award winning albums and continues to be at the forefront of British music making.
