The Palace Community Centre in Ibstock has a festive show on Friday night - "Farmer Scrooge's Christmas Carol"
Back by popular demand - join Live & Local regulars, Badapple Theatre as they celebrate 25 years of rural touring with their latest 'theatre on your doorstep'.
Writer Kate Bramley and her itinerant band of actors put their classic comedy slant on the classic Charles Dickens' Christmas story.
Have a good chuckle while the blustering, skin-flint farmer Ebeneezer Scrooge gets his comeuppance and is forced to see the error of his penny-pinching ways.

The 1620s House in Donington le Heath is getting read for Christmas with a busy week of events.
On Friday, it will be holding its Prelude to Christmas.
Ayres and Graces return to the 1620s House and Garden to perform songs, solos and poems on the themes of Winter and Christmas from the late 16th and early 17th Century and a couple of more modern ones too.

The visitor attraction near Coalville then has Victorian Christmas Hamper Making on Saturday.
Come along for this wonderfully festive workshop for adults.
You will create handmade crafts inspired by the Victorian era which introduced so many of our present day Christmas traditions.
This workshop gives you the chance to create and fill the perfect gift hamper for a loved one – sure to make Christmas extra special this year.
All materials will be provided, with many of the materials sustainably sourced from our grounds.

Sunday at the 1620s House features Christmas at the Manor.
Discover how Christmas was celebrated in times gone by! The venue will be beautifully dressed in Jacobean style decor.
See how preparations were made to celebrate the full twelve days of Christmas by the Digby Family.
Join in with festive carols and a mummers play, talk to costumed volunteers about food and feasting, Christmas customs, keeping warm in winter in the days before central heating and all the jobs that had to be done to ensure the holy season ran smoothly.
What's more, there'll be festive crafts in the barn and a children's trail to enjoy.

In Coalville, he will be making another appearance at Newmarket.

Three outstanding West End artists pay tribute to three icons of Rock 'n' Roll - Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.
All backed by a four-piece band, and all done in true Rock 'n' Roll style.
