The Century Theatre in Coalville is showing the film, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, on Friday.

When Harold learns his friend Queenie is dying, he walks to the post office to send her a letter - but realises a letter is not enough. In that moment he decides to visit Queenie in person at her hospice - walking the length of Britain to see her.

Stars Jim Broadbent, Penelope Wilton & Linda Bassett.

There is another movie on offer at The Palace in Ibstock with a film night also on Friday.

The venue is showing Book Club The Next Chapter.

Starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen, the film is about the four friends in the book club finally meeting in person after lockdown forced them to switch their monthly meetings to Zoom calls. Vivian reveals her engagement to Arthur, and the four friends take a bachelorette trip to Italy culminating in a destination wedding in Tuscany.

Still in Ibstock, on Saturday night Palace is hosting Ibstock Community Choir presenting 'Magic Moments'.

Featuring a guest singer and the Ibstock Choir musicians.

Sunday sees the 1620 House in Donington le Heath celebrating Hello Heritage in North West Leicestershire.

With free entry, visitor attraction near Coalville invites you to attend its Open Day.
