What's On in the Coalville and Ibstock area this weekend

This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - hopefully there is something for everyone.

There are a number of events happening in Ibstock this weekend.

The Monstex Beer Festival returns to The Palace over three days - Friday to Sunday.

On Friday (Free Entry), doors open at noon, and close at 10 pm.

There is live Music from 7 pm with Ann Duggan and Rob Hines

On Saturday (Free Entry) doors open at Noon and close at 6 pm. Doors re-open for ticket holders (£12.50 early bird £10) at 7 pm for the comedy night.

The comedy comes from Jokes On Us Jokes on Us and forms part of the beer festival.

Jenny Collier, Duncan Oakley, Jay Neale and Alex Hylton will be providing the entertainment.

There is something for the whole family to enjoy on Sunday afternoon at Holy Cross School in Whitwick where you can see an outdoor production of David Walliams' Bad Dad.

From 2:30pm, there will also be game stalls, refreshments and a bar on the school pitch before the show begins.

Bring your own seats, blankets and enjoy the show.

There are a number of tribute acts on in the area this weekend.

Back to Ibstock and the Central Bar has a Tina Turner act on Friday night.

On Saturday, The Emporium in Coalville has Navi - a Michael Jackson tribute, while there a Billy Idol act at the Victoria Bikers' pub which also has a Metallica act on Friday evening.

The Century Theatre has an Elvis and Buddy Holly evening on Friday.
