There are a wide range of events taking place in the Coalville area this weekend - including tributes to two rock greats.

Tomorrow night (Friday) sees The Emporium in Coalville hosting the AC/DC Experience.

The AC/DC Experience have headlined some of the best festivals in the country, as well as on their own headline tours.

Covering both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras, the AC/DC Experience is a band to watch and get involved with.

The Century Theatre in Coalville is showing Death on the Nile tomorrow night (Friday).

This is a lavish adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic whodunnit set on a steam boat cruise on the Nile, starring Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot.

The movie has an all star cast including Gal Gadot, Russell Brand, Armie Hammer, Dawn French & Jennifer Saunders.

Also on Friday is an open mic night at the Coalville CAN offices in Memorial Square.

'Something To Say' takes place on the second Friday of the month 19:30-21:30 every two months for all genres.

The other two months is for poets.

So May 13 is for all genres. June 10 is for poets, and so on.

Coalville's emergency services will be holding an open day on Saturday - here you will be able to meet the police, fire and ambulance services.

Saturday evening sees another tribute act coming to Coalville, this time it will be Billion Dollar Alice at the Victoria Bikers' Pub in Coalville.

The Alice Cooper-based act will be supported by WASP tribute band, The Electric Circus.

If you are a car enthusiast, then the Charles Booth Centre in Thringstone could be the place for you on Sunday morning.

The Centre is hosting its first car day where you can see some impressive motors and meet the owners.
