Over 2,000 Cannabis plants were located in a drugs raid at an address in Coalville.

North West Leicestershire Police revealed the discovery was made on Monday - but did not name the location.

However, a social media post says that two people were arrested at the scene - with one 'making a run for it'.

But officers eventually caught up with the offender.

Police say the matter is currently under investigation following the huge find.

A social media post - which includes photos of the plants - reads: "Officers from the Proactive and Neighbourhood Teams have conducted a warrant in Coalville this morning (Monday).

"Two people have subsequently been arrested.

"One of those did keep us on our toes and tried to make a run for it.

"Over 2,000 Cannabis plants have been recovered and an investigation is now ongoing."
