Tourist attraction near Coalville is opening its doors to host a new weekly drop-in centre

The 1620s House in Donington le Heath is launching a new drop in centre later this month.

The tourist attraction near Coalville will be opening its doors each Wednesday from 11am-3pm from February 22.

In conjunction with Leicestershire County Council, Friends Welcome is aimed at people who might be feeling isolated, working from home, suffering from poor health or is new to the area.

The organisers say: "Are you feeling isolated or just need to get out of the house for a bit? We are the place to be.

"We are introducing a drop-in session between 11am - 3pm on Wednesdays from 22nd February.

"If this sounds like something you need, please come for a warm drink, be in a relaxing atmosphere where you can chat and make friends, enjoy some peace, and even participate in some activities if you want to.

"Also some refreshments available. All of these are free.

"We look forward to welcoming you."
