The Bull's Head in Thringstone is supporting the homeless this Christmas - and appealing for donations before December 21.

The pub is supporting The Bridge charity which helps people throughout the East Midlands.

Every year, The Bull's Head sets up a food and clothing donations bank.

District 105 charity champion Bethan Wright explained how people can donate this Christmas.

She said: "You can drop them off at the Bull's Head.

"If you have any clothing, blankets, quilts, any food tins, soups, biscuits - anything would help.

"December 21 is the last donation day before we deliver to the chosen charity."

Bethan says The Bridge is doing great work in the area for those in need.

She added: "This year we're supporting The Bridge in the East Midlands as they help so many people on a daily basis, and now this is our time to help them."

The Bridge also offers housing advice each Friday in Coalville.

Sessions take place between 10am - 2pm at The George Smith Hub, 24-28 Hotel Street.

The Loughborough-based charity has been working for the community since 1993, and it delivers a number of specialist housing related advice, support, and assistance services and accommodation options to homeless and vulnerably housed people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
