Teenage child is hit by car on main Coalville Road - with route closed for emergency services to attend

A teenage child was hit by a car on London Road in Coalville on Monday afternoon.

Although the child suffered injuries, Leicestershire Police confirmed they were not life-threatening or life-changing.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "The police activity in London Road related to a collision involving a car and pedestrian.

"It was reported at 3.31pm, and the pedestrian, a teenage child, sustained injuries.

"But they weren't believed to be life-threatening or life changing."

London Road was closed to allow emergency services to attend to the teenager.
