A teenager has been charged following an attack on woman with a blade in Copt Oak.

Leicestershire Police say that Michael McDonagh, aged 18, from Copt Oak has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to an incident that took place during the evening of Wednesday December 8.

Two men arrested after attack on woman after dog theft.

A woman was seriously injured in the incident and remains in hospital.

She was in Copt Oak following the theft of a vehicle in Hugglescote, while a pet dog was still inside.

Michael McDonagh was due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today (Saturday).

In addition, a 17-year-old female and 18-year-old man, who were arrested for assisting an offender, have been released on bail.
