Snibston South by-election result produces clear winner for District Council seat

Labour's Catherine Beck is the new District Councillor for the Snibston South Ward.

This follows Thursday's by-election in Coalville which was held after the resignation of Councillor June Page.

Labour won with 222 votes ahead of the Liberal Democrat candidate Paul Holliday.

This is how the voting went.

Snibston South by-election - Thursday 2 May 2024 

Catherine Beck - Labour Party - 222 votes (ELECTED) 

Paul Holliday - Liberal Democrats - 71 votes 

Dan Roberts - Independent - 121 votes 

Greg Simpson - Green Party - 19 votes 

• The result of the Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election has still to be announced.
