North West Leicestershire District Council has confirmed the arrival of a new outdoor market this summer.

It will form part of the new Marlborough Square development which is expected to be officially opened later this Spring.

Now, the council is on the lookout for traders to be a part of the new venture which will run alongside the indoor Newmarket off Belvoir Road.

It wants to be the 'go-to destination for traders and shoppers' in the area.

A social media post from North West Leicestershire District Council says: "Are you looking for a new market where you can sell to new customers?

"Look no further, Coalville's new outdoor market is coming this summer.

"Marlborough Square, in the heart of Coalville, is an accessible market for traders and shoppers.

"A traditional market every Friday, with special events held throughout the year.

"An indoor space is also available at our very own Newmarket.

"Share this poster, tag fellow traders and let's make Coalville outdoor market the go-to destination for traders and shoppers in North West Leicestershire."
