This year's Coalville Community Fun Run will have a 'Pyjamas and Onesies' theme for the Belvoir Rotary Club organised event.

The Rotary Club is working closely with Snibston Colliery Park which is also keen to develop an annual event within Coalville.

As a result, the event - with takes place on Jun3 4 at 10.30am - hopes to raise awareness of the facilities on offer at Snibston and bring people into Coalville who would not normally think of visiting the venue.

The Rotary Club is approaching local companies/businesses for sponsorship and support for this event - as well as distributing posters to be displayed in as many places as possible.

As well as having a 'Pyjamas' theme, the event and is open to all.

Organisers say they want to encourage family groups, dog walkers as well as walkers and runners - so it will be totally inclusive and accessible to everyone.

All participants will receive a medal on completion, but there will be no awarding prizes so it will not be a competition.

It is not primarily a fundraising event, with the focus being on establishing a community run, but monies raised will be donated to local charitable causes.

Organisers say they will identify and publish the recipients nearer the time.

Details of how to enter can be found on the poster as shown here.
