Emergency services were in Coalville on Saturday evening as they made sure of a girl's safety following following reports from the public.

Police, ambulance and the fire service were all at the scene in Snibston.

Leicestershire Police have given few details about what happened, but have issued a report about the incident.

Members of the public took to social media to ask about the presence of the emergency services with police saying it took place at Snibston Discovery Park.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "Around 8.50pm on Saturday, 10 July, officers received a report from a member of the public concerned for the welfare of a girl at Snibston Discovery Park, Coalville.

"Officers, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene.

"No injuries were reported and the girl was taken to a safe location."
