Coalville police have warned they will seize any motorcycles caught being used for off-roading in the area - and riders will be prosecuted.

It follows complaints received about motorbikes being ridden around the Snibston Country Park area.

A post on the North West Leicestershire Police Facebook page reads: "We are receiving some complaints in relation to off road motorcycles in the area of Snibston Country Park.

"From today, any persons found off-roading in this area will have their motorcycle seized and may be prosecuted for insurance offences.

"Whilst I am all in favour of motorsports, there is a place and a time for it and the Snibston Country Park is not one of them.

"If you have any information that would assist us to make this area a safer place then please PM us. Mike 6500."
