Police investigate incident after report of four-year-old boy hit by vehicle in Thringstone

Leicestershire Police are investigating a reported hit and run in Thringstone involving a four-year-old boy.

The incident was reported just after 3.45pm on Tuesday afternoon (March 25) at the junction of Henson's Lane and Loughborough Road.

But the driver reportedly did not stop at the scene despite hitting the boy.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "A report that a four-year-old boy had been struck by a vehicle was made just after 3.45pm on Tuesday (25 March).

"The boy had been taken home when police were contacted and it was reported the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

"The boy did not suffer life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing."
