A woman who was reported missing earlier today (April 14) has been found safe and well.

Marian Walker, aged 86, had last been seen in Owen Street around 9am on Thursday morning.

Leicestershire Police were asking for the public's help to find Marian.

She has Alzheimer's and her family and officers were extremely concerned for her welfare.

Marian had been described as around 5ft tall, slim build with shoulder length white hair.

She was believed to be wearing dark coloured pyjama bottoms, a yellow top and slippers.

But officers have now reported that Marian had been found.

The Leicestershire Police website said: "Marian Walker, who was reported missing earlier today (14 April), has been found.

"She is safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
