Police Find 200 Cannabis Plants After Raid On House In Coalville

Police raided a property in Coalville and found 200 Cannabis plants - in what was described as a 'large quantity of drugs' with a street value of £200,000.
Officers were alerted to the house in Breach Road by the public and found the Cannabis factory inside - although it was not occupied at the time.
The discovery was made on Wednesday and police say enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "Yesterday (Wednesday 29 July) officers visited an address in Breach Road, Coalville, following concerns raised by the public.
"Officers entered under Section 17 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and found the property was unoccupied.
"Around 200 cannabis plants were found inside. They have been recovered and enquiries are ongoing.
"No arrests have been made at this time."
Coalville Police posted about the find on social media and said: "Follow-up house to house / CCTV inquiries completed after a large quantity of drugs recovered from an address in Coalville. Also signed up residents onto Neighbourhood link."
Also on Wednesday, Coalville Police said they had intercepted another package containing drugs and posted a message on social media which said: "Another parcel intercepted today that won't reach its final destination. More illegal drugs off the streets."
