By The Editor 18th May 2022

A woman was involved in a car crash yesterday evening (Tuesday) - causing a Coalville road to be closed after her vehicle collided with a wall.

The incident happened on Greenhill Road, the other end of Agar Nook from the town, and police closed the road as part of the wall and a tree were blocking the road.

Police posted on social media yesterday saying: "Due to a Police Incident, please avoid the area of Greenhill Road in Coalville."

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police confirmed this morning (Wednesday): "We were called to a collision, where it was reported a car had collided with a wall, just after 7.15pm.

"It was reported part of the wall and a tree were obstructing the road.

"The driver of the car – a woman – suffered minor injuries. No arrests were made."
