Police want to speak to a woman in connection with thefts from two pensioners in Coalville town centre.

Photos have been issued after two women - one aged 70 and another in her 80s - had purses stolen.

An appeal has gone out to anyone who knows anything about the woman in the photos.

The thefts took place in the Belvoir Shopping centre on two separate occasions last month.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Do you recognise this woman?

"Police would like to speak to her in connection with two reports of theft that occurred in Coalville.

"A purse was taken from the handbag of a 70-year-old woman between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on January 10.

"While another purse was taken from a shopping bag being carried by a woman in her 80s between 12.45pm and 12.55pm on January 26.

"Both incidents occurred in the area of the Belvoir Shopping Centre."
