A photographer is inviting Ibstock residents to be part of a project to capture a snapshot of villagers' thoughts and emotions during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Josh Reeve, of Josh Reeve Photography, is also using the opportunity to raise funds for NHS Charities Together, supporting NHS staff and volunteers caring for coronavirus patients.

Josh told Coalville Nub News: "I am using my skills to capture the village's support, emotions and thoughts during lockdown to create a photography project to raise awareness of individual's struggles, hardships and

successes during the coronavirus pandemic.

"At the same time I hope to raise as much money as possible for NHS Charities Together by asking those who have their photo taken to donate on my JustGiving page Josh Reeve Photography

Josh's idea to use the project as a fundraiser was inspired by Captain Tom Moore - celebrating his 100th birthday today(Thurs) - although he is some way from matching the birthday boy's £31m fundraising for the NHS to date.

Villagers - in families or alone - are invited to join Josh in the field at the start of Miner's Way, at the bottom of Grange Road, any day between 11am and 11.30am to be photographed during their daily Government-approved exercise.

They should bring along messages written on cardboard, and decorated if desired, which can be easily read from a distance.

Josh has visited the field every morning since 17 April - some days several families or individuals turn up to be photographed, on others he remains alone.

Regardless, he says he will continue to wait camera-in-hand every day until the end of the lockdown.

"I would love as many people as possible from Ibstock to take part in the project.

"This is an exceptional time for everyone and should be recorded and remembered.

"I am considering putting on an exhibition of the images when we come out of the other side of this pandemic," added Josh.

Josh's photographs can be seen on his Facebook page Josh Reeve's Photos
