North West Leicestershire Police issue warning to dog owners

North West Leicestershire Police have issued a warning to owners following a spate of thefts - and attempted dog thefts - across the county.

The police are asking dog owners to ensure that their property and any outside space you may have is secure.

  • Do not leave your dog unsupervised in gardens, outside shops or in vehicles.
  • Make sure your dog is microchipped and the details are up to date.

You can contact police with any suspicious incidents along with descriptions and registration numbers you may have.

You can do this by calling 101 or report online HERE Click on report. In an emergency call 999.

Here are some of the recent incidents.

Officers are appealing for information after a report of an aggravated burglary in Ravenstone.

Dog bites man who wants to steal the pet

Officers have released photographs of five dogs who have been stolen from South Kilworth and are appealing for information to help find them.
