North West Leicestershire Covid Cases Falling Again According To Latest Figures

Coronavirus cases have shown another decrease over the past seven days.
Where the region once had an infection rate, per 100,000 of the population, of just over 400,000, the figure now stands at 245.1, with 254 new cases in the past week.
Only last Thursday, the rate was 337.8,
Over the past 24 hours, 36 new cases were added in the region.
More than 350 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed across the city and county today – with levels appearing to slowly drop as the national lockdown continues.
In Leicester there were 142 new infections identified, while the remaining 214 cases were spread across Leicestershire.
Charnwood recorded 49 new cases, with Hinckley and Bosworth adding 37, and North West Leicestershire adding 36 to their overall tolls.
There were 30 people who tested positive in Oadby and Wigston, while Blaby confirmed 28 new cases.
Harborough added 18 to its rolling toll and in Melton there were 16.
The new cases, updated today at 4pm, mean that the total number of cases across the city and county since the start of the pandemic area by area are :
- Leicester: 30,148
- Blaby: 5,899
- Charnwood: 10,313
- Harborough: 4,260
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 4,991
- Melton: 2,205
- North West Leicestershire: 4,733
- Oadby and Wigston: 4,314
- Leicester: 400.6 cases per 100,000 (1,419 cases in the last seven days)
- Blaby: 271.9 cases per 100,000 (276)
- Charnwood: 248.6 cases per 100,000 (462)
- Harborough: 260.1 cases per 100,000 (244)
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 223.6 cases per 100,000 (253)
- Melton: 220.7 cases per 100,000 (113)
- North West Leicestershire: 245.1 cases per 100,000 (254)
- Oadby and Wigston: 284.1 cases per 100,000 (162)
