New appointments bring a wealth of experience to Ashby law firm Fishers

Ashby solicitors Fishers have made two new appointments with almost 60 years of experience between them.

Josie Roberts and Curt Thomas have both joined the Ivanhoe Business Park-based law firm.

Curt comes in as a Chartered Legal Executive for Wills & Probate; and Josie is a Legal Secretary for Residential Conveyancing.

Josie is returning to Fishers, having worked there previously.

She said: "I have 40 years' worth of experience as a Legal Secretary, having dealt with all aspects of private client work to include Wills and Probate, Commercial and Residential conveyancing matters.

"Renowned for my exceptional interpersonal skills and unwavering professionalism in handling client affairs, I possess an inherent talent for establishing strong connections with clients..

"My role involves assisting and supporting the residential conveyancing department on a day-to-day basis predominantly dealing with quotations for client and any initial enquiries they may have.

"I am very happy to be rejoining Fishers having worked for them previously. I have been warmly embraced by everyone at Fishers, and their welcoming attitude has filled me with excitement as I embark on this new career challenge. I am looking forward to joining the team and assisting them wherever I am needed.

"My Hobbies are walking with my border collies and spending my downtime knitting and reading."

With over 17 years' worth of experience, Curt has dealt with all aspects of private client work ranging from Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate, Tax, Trust Administration and Court of Protection work.

Curt is a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer (FCILEX) having previously worked at a Nottingham-based law firm.

With an innate ability to build an excellent rapport with his clients, he is known for his sensitivity and compassion when dealing with their affairs.

In his new role, Curt will be dealing with various Private Client work such as preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney and dealing with Probate and any associated administration.

He said: "I am extremely excited to join Fishers Solicitors in this new position. Everyone at Fishers has made me feel very welcome and I am eager to start this new challenge in my career.

"During my time working in this field, I have always tried to simplify certain areas of the law so that my clients can understand and feel comfortable when discussing their affairs. I will endeavour to do the same at Fishers and assist to the best of my abilities."
