Morrisons announced this week they will be limiting certain items to prevent panic buying.

The store - with a branch at Whitwick Retail Park in Coalville - has introduced the measures after the Government's revised Covid-19 restrictions which were brought in last week.

Toilet roll is among the items that will be included in the rationing.

The store insists there is no shortage of these goods, but does not want a repeat of March when shelves were emptied ahead of a national coronavirus lockdown.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: "We are introducing a limit on a small number of key products, such as toilet roll and disinfectant.

"Our stock levels of these products are good but we want to ensure that they are available for everyone."
