Missing dog is found after being spotted in fields near Coalville

Officers searching for a dog that was stolen from a kennels in Leicestershire have found him fields not far from Coalville.

Logan, (pictured), a three-year-old cockapoo, was stolen from a property in North Kilworth between midnight and 6.30am on Friday, February 12, after entry was forced into the kennels via a neighbouring farm.

Officers liaised with volunteers from Beauty's Legacy, a group who look for stolen and missing animals.

A report was received at midday on Tuesday, February 16, that Logan had been seen in a field near Coalville.

A large group of volunteers searched the area and a drone was used.

Logan was found on waste ground on the outskirts of Heather.

He was reported to be terrified, dirty and wet but is now safely back with his owner.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Officers would like to thank the public for their help in finding Logan."
