A further yellow weather warning has been issued for the East Midlands - including the Coalville area.

The Met Office is forecasting heavy showers and thunderstorms tonight (Monday) - along with warm and humid conditions.

Evening sunshine is set to become hazy with increasing cloud, as a swathe of heavy showers spreads northwards, this will be potentially prolonged and thundery. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Tomorrow (Tuesday), severe thundery downpours are likely first thing, before clearing northwards.

It is due to become drier and brighter, with sunny spells.

But feeling hot and humid again with further scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible later. Maximum temperature 30 °C.

The outlook for Wednesday to Friday looks uncertain. It will become very warm in further sunny spells, with thundery showers still possible, as are some very warm nights.

But temperatures are set to fall to near normal on Friday, with showers easing.
