Marlene Reid Centre in Coalville is launching new year course aimed at helping people manage their household budget

Coalville's Marlene Reid Centre is starting its Household Budgeting Course this week.

The Centre says the course will be focusing on improving numeracy skills and supporting people to gain essential skills in managing family finances, creating budgets and making people's money work for them.

Marlene Reid Centre also says the sessions are free in line with funding from the Department for Education.

They are open to anyone who does not already hold a qualification at level 4 / grade C or above in Mathematics.

The first sessions start on Monday - and there are two, morning and afternoon, after that.

The venue will also provide creche facilities onsite so children are welcome to come along also.

It says that everyone is welcome.
