Body is found at Coalville nature reserve following missing person report

A man's body was found in a nature reserve on the outskirts of Coalville.

Police and ambulance services attended the incident at the Nature Alive park on Wednesday afternoon (Sept 4).

The deceased was found in water following a report of a missing person, and there are no suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Police received a concern for welfare report on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 4.

"A missing person investigation commenced and as part of our enquiries, a search was carried out that afternoon at Nature Alive park in Coalville where a man's body was found in the water shortly after.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

"Identification of the deceased is a matter for the coroner."
