Man is hit by motorbike after being forced out of his car: Coalville police make appeal

A man in his 60s suffered a fractured pelvis after being hit by a motorbike in Ravenstone on Sunday.

But the incident happened when he had been forced to get out of his vehicle after he had been followed from Coalville by four motorcyclists - an an object was thrown at the car.

Now Coalville police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.

A spokesperson for North West Leicestershire Police said: "An appeal is being made for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward after a man was struck by a motorcycle in Ravenstone.

"It happened in Church Lane, close to the junction with the church, at around 1.50pm on Sunday (20 March).

"The victim, who is in his 60s, had taken his son to meet a friend at a park in Charles Street, Coalville.

"They then left the area in their car, but were followed by four people riding motorcycles.

"Something was thrown at the car, causing the victim to get out.

"One of the motorcycles then collided with the victim, knocking him to the ground.

"The group then left the area.

"The victim suffered a fractured pelvis as a result of the collision."
