Man is found dead at Coalville town centre address after 'concern for welfare'

A man has been found dead at a property in Coalville town centre.

Leicestershire Police have confirmed that the emergency services were called to an address in High Street on Thursday evening following concern for the person inside.

But when the services forced their way into the building, the man had died.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "Police received a call on Thursday evening (October 3) following concern for the welfare of an occupant at an address in High Street, Coalville.

"Officers attended with colleagues from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service.

"Entry was forced to the address and a man was found deceased inside.

"The death is being treated as unexplained, but is not suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

"Identification of the deceased is a matter for the coroner."
