Man is arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after truck hits four parked vehicles near Coalville police station

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a truck crashed into four parked vehicles in Coalville.

The incident happened in Avenue Road on Saturday evening and emergency services were called to the scene along with police.

It is believed to have happened close to Coalville police station.

Officers say enquiries into the collision are continuing.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Coalville Nub News: "Shortly before 6.45pm on Saturday, April 22, police were called after a truck collided with four parked vehicles in Avenue Road, Coalville.

"The fire and ambulance service were also in attendance.

"A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while being unfit through drink.

"He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
