Man, 21, is arrested after early hours car crash in Donington Le Heath

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car crash in Donington Le Heath in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday).

The incident occurred just after 2am in Manor Road and photos of the vehicle show the car had turned over as a result of the collision.

Only one car was involved and the driver was taken to hospital in Nottingham to have treatment to minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said: "Officers were called to Manor Road in Donington Le Heath just after 2am on Sunday (23 May) after a report of a single vehicle collision.

"The occupant was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham with minor injuries.

"A 21-year-old Shepshed man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and he has since been released pending further enquiries."
