A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a lorry overturned on a route between Coalville and Ashby this morning (Monday).

Leicestershire Police posted on social media about the incident - and said the A511 was 'closed from the Ashby roundabout to Hoo Ash Roundabout and will remain closed for some time'.

An air ambulance was seen landing close by as police and emergency services attended.

But 'no life-threatening injuries' have been reported as a result of the incident.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "A report was received just after 8.30am that a lorry had overturned.

"A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

"No life-threatening injuries have been reported."

Police were urging motorists to find alternative routes to the A511, one of the busiest routes in the area.
