A man accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a teenage girl in Coalville, has appeared before magistrates in Leicester today (Thursday).

On Sunday (January 29), police received a report stating that a man had both touched and spoken to a teenage girl in an inappropriate manner in Ashby Road, Coalville, just after 4pm.

The man has now been arrested and charged.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Following further enquiries, a 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

"He has since been charged and is appearing at Leicester Magistrates' Court today (Thursday).

"We would like to thank those who provided information which assisted us.

"We would ask that anyone who has been a victim of sexual harassment to make a report by visiting HERE.

"Alternatively, call 101 and quote master incident 181 of 2 February."

Police have not yet named the man.
