Home Instead Charnwood, Loughborough and Coalville launched a partnership at the start of November with local independent gym, Active Aims.

Providing a tailored fitness programme aligning to individual needs and preferences, Home Instead were keen to launch the collaboration and allow their clients to connect with others whilst improving their physical and mental wellbeing.

Launched in 2002, Active Aims focus on creating a welcoming environment for older individuals, offering a sense of community, where participants not only exercise but also build meaningful friendships as they are supported on their health and wellbeing journey.

The launch day saw a visit from Charnwood's Mayor, Margaret Smidowicz

Charlotte Johnson, Owner of Home Instead Charnwood commented: "We are really excited to be partnering with the wonderful Active Aims, it's a true testament to our commitment to providing holistic care that goes beyond the ordinary and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on the lives of our clients".

"Our launch day was fabulous and even saw a visit from Charnwood's Mayor, Margaret Smidowicz.

"With such support as well as two local organisations coming together for the good of our local area, we are creating a pathway to a healthier, happier and more connected community".

Diane Fisher of Active Aims added: "We are really proud to be collaborating with Home Instead and to be able to provide our facilities in order to improve the health and wellbeing of their clients is fantastic!

"At Active Aims we specialise in supporting older people and do so by providing tailored programmes, smaller groups and, as we know some people prefer the comfort of their own home, we even offer home visits, it's in this similar thinking that our partnership with Home Instead works so well!".
