A local film maker has put together a short film showing the best that Coalville's Snibston Colliery Park has to offer.

The drone footage takes the viewer on a journey through the recently opened parkland attraction.

Tony says: "The latest promotional video i have pulled together, is for a local park which is steeped in history relating to mining in Coalville.

"It also has some great mountain bike runs along with great walks and fishing lakes. Well worth a visit!"

Snibston Colliery Park was given a £3million regeneration as part of a drive to bring people into Coalville.

The scheme was carried out by Leicestershire County Council.

Building work for the project started in February 2020, incorporating a range of developments that reconnect the heritage of the site with the local community.

By opening up access to the area around the colliery buildings visitors can learn more about the story of Coalville.

There are also a host of new features including the Colliery Café, Snibston Heritage Trail, a play area and Grange Nature Reserve.
