The National Space Centre in Leicester has confirmed details of its family fun evening at Coalville CAN next Friday.

Running from 6-9pm, the event at CAN's Memorial Square offices is free of charge.

Special guests from the British Model Flying Association will be bringing a flight simulator, there will be art workshops from local artists Retro Vandal and Tim Neath, rolling 20 minute shows produced by the NSC's award winning digital production team, rocket building, a space talk and demonstration with Q&A opportunity.

You can get up close and personal with some of the Centre's artefact collection, and there will also be a visit from the Leicester Astronomical Society.

Organisers are urging people to come and support Coalville's first ever space-themed family evening event.

They are also inviting people to get in touch if they have any queries about the event - they say they welcome your thoughts and ideas for future plans.
