Leicestershire Police have released images of three classic cars they wish to find as part of an insurance fraud investigation.
The cars in question are: a blue Ford MK1 Granada series 1, XL model produced from 1973 to 1977, automatic five-door saloon, with a full blue leather interior, AA badge in the front grill which is in very good condition; a 1960 Rover P5, manual, rear wheel drive, three litre engine size 2995, originally beige with a beige interior in poor condition, possibly restored now and grey in colour and a blue Ford Granada Ghia, 1976 model, automatic four-door saloon, engine size 2994 which is in very poor condition.
Investigations into car insurance fraud involving classic cars began in September 2020 following the execution of a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at Beveridge Lane, Coalville.
A fully restored blue Ford Granada was recovered, along with a large amount of cash and number plates connected to other insurance fraud.
Following this work, warrants were executed at six locations across the county on Monday 5 July including at Beverdige Lane in Coalville.
Five people were also arrested for fraud by false representation including a 44-year-old man and 20-year-old woman both from Coalville.
All were released under investigation while officers consult with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Detective Constable Natasha Perkins said: "This was a really good step for our investigations.
"We still have outstanding vehicles we are trying to locate and we are asking anyone with any information that might help us find them to please get in touch."
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 21*115273.
