Labour's seemingly inevitable march to election victory this week may not be as comprehensive as many are predicting, a second national poll of Nub News readers has indicated.
With our previous national poll a fortnight ago predicting a landslide victory was not nailed on for Sir Keir Starmer, results published this morning (July 1) continue to pour water on the flames of those expecting one of the most devastating election victories in recent years.
While our independent poll of Nub News newsletters subscribers has Labour as the clear favourite at 32 per cent, that still falls short of many other polls in which the party exceed two fifths of the vote share.
However, as many other commentators are predicting, the national results show Reform rising, coming in third place with 20 per cent of the vote. This was up from 19 per cent.
They sit just behind the Conservatives (21 per cent) and ahead of the Liberal Democrats at 17 per cent.
Since our national last poll was published on June 18, Labour's lead has grown slightly from 29 per cent to 31 per cent.
The Conservatives have also seen their vote show grow slightly from 19 per cent.
Meanwhile, the Liberal Democrats have seen their share of the votes drop from close to 19 per cent to 16.6 per cent.
Nub News polled over 2,000 newsletter subscribers between 12:35pm on Wednesday, June 26 and midnight on Friday 28 June. Readers were only able to register a single vote for one of the eight candidates. Results were not weighted demographically.
Across Ashby and Coalville, the battle for the North West Leicestershire seat has been fluctuating over a two week period.
While Labour's Amanda Hack led the way in our first poll, the Conservative candidate Craig Smith edged in front after the second snapshot of voters.
But the duo are still ahead of the rest of the pack, with Reform's Noel Matthews the only other candidate polling in double digits (17 per cent).
The results continue to make tough reading for Independent Andrew Bridgen (five per cent) who is looking to retain the seat he won as a Conservative.
He was tied with Carl Benfield of the Green Party, who has seen a slight drop in support across the two polls.
Nub News has towns all over the UK, with newsletter subscribers that were polled for this survey.
