Ibstock Parish Council issues message of condolence following the death of Queen Elzabeth II

Ibstock Parish Council has issued a message of condolence following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The message also contains details of the town's book of condolence and the area set aisde for floral tributes.

The chairman of Ibstock Parish Council, Cllr Stuart Farmer, wrote: "Ibstock Parish Council shares the sorrow of the nation following the passing of our sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II.

"We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family.

"We remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service she gave.

"A garden of remembrance for floral tributes is available at Miners Wheel - Miners Welfare Site, Leciester Road; War memorial - Central Road

"A book of condolence is available at the Palace, High Street, Ibstock.

"We are flying our flags at half mast, during the period of proclamation, these will be raised, then lowered again."
