Ibstock Man Is Sent To Jail For Miners Welfare Burglary After Police Appeal

An Ibstock man has been jailed for 12 weeks after pleading guilty to burglary.

On April 12 this year, Kyle Duncan broke into Ibstock Miners Welfare in Leicester Road and stole bottles of alcohol.

But his actions were caught on CCTV and he was subsequently identified and arrested Man wanted in connection with Ibstock theft.

Duncan, 24, of Lewis Close, Ibstock, was jailed when he appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court last Friday (May 1).

Detective Constable Rhys Warner, the officer in the case, said: "Duncan is now serving a custodial sentence.

"I'd like to thank the people of Ibstock who helped to identify him.

"If you commit a crime and CCTV is available, we will look to circulate it in order to identify you.

"I hope this serves as an example that we will look to prosecute offenders committing such crimes across North West Leicestershire."
