Hugglescote Man Faces ABH, Criminal Damage And Breach Of Bail Charges After Whitwick Incident

A 48-year-old man has been charged with assault following an incident in Whitwick on Wednesday afternoon and he was due to appear in court today (Friday).

Gary Lees, of Garfield Road, Hugglescote, has been charged with causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage and breach of bail.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Friday (12 June).

Leicestershire Police say the assault charge relates to a report of a man assaulted in Silver Street in Whitwick on Wednesday afternoon Whitwick assault left man in hospital

The victim received treatment at hospital and has since been discharged.

The criminal damage charge relates to damage caused to a police vehicle after his arrest.

The breach of bail charge relates to Lees being at the address where the assault occurred.
