Great success for Coalville students at the International Combat Organisation British Championships

A team of 10 martial artists from Stealth Black Belt Academy centers in Coalville and Hathern were won a series of honours at the International Combat Organization British Championships in Cannock last weekend.

Head coach Kieran Smith from Coalville and Nikki Hughes from Hathern led the Stealth Black Belt Academy "Top Gun" team for the event.

The "Top Gun" are the elite students from both the Coalville and Hathern Stealth Academies who get selected to represent the club at major National and International competitions.

A great display of martial arts was given by all with a team result of: one first place trophy; five silver medals; four bronze medals and eight qualifiers for the world championships. They were:

• Seth Gardner (12) - 2nd place Points fighting

• Will Robson (14) - 3rd Place Points fighting and 3rd place Continuous Fightin

• Jacob Twyford (14) - 4th Place points fighting

• Fin Colman (14) - 2nd place Continuous Fighting

• Jack Bromley (15) - 2nd Place Points Fighting and 1st place Continuous fighting

• Kai Smith (16) - 3rd place Continuous fighting

• Sam Twyford (17) - 3rd Place Points fighting

• Billy Tebbett (16) - 2nd place Points fighting 

• Lucy Tebbett (14) - 4th place Point fighting

• Helen Sharp (42) 2nd Place Points fighting. 

Head coach Kieran said: "Congratulations to all of our fighters for a superb performance. You have all made Stealth very proud. 

"We would like to say a huge thank you as always to all our students and families who have supported the team."
