A local health and wellbeing service is offering a free introduction session in Coalville on Monday evening.

The Leg Up Project is for anyone that works, lives or under a service that operates within Leicestershire.

It provides adventure therapy, educational well-being packages and one to one support to individuals.

The only inclusion criteria is that you are 18+ and live within Leicestershire.

Monday's session is being held at Unit 1 Rothley House Coalville Business Park, Jackson Street Coalville LE67 3NR.

It will be a brief introduction to the team and what is on offer over the next 10 weeks, followed by a look at the Survive to Flourish system, the wheel of life, and how to create a simple wellbeing action plan.

Survive to Flourish is a systematic approach to taking positive action and immediately gets you started by making you aware of simple actions you can take to improve the moment, breathing techniques, staying hydrated and practicing gratitude, to name a few.

You can also use this system to identify areas for development and start to implement positive change by 'nailing down' the basics that so many forget.

The wheel of life will help you to define broad objectives to achieve throughout the course and assist in guiding you to keep balance in your life.

This simple tool is there to use if you ever feel like you may be losing focus or getting fixated on a goal at the detriment to other important parts of your life.

The Leg Up Project added: "A wellbeing action plan is a great way to remind yourself of what works for you! It can also help you to stay accountable for the positive changes you wish to make."

You can find details of how to attend HERE.
